History
Sam Tillett's began as a 3 room guest house providing accommodations and birding tours within Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary. As Sam grew within the tourism industry, so did his guest house.
Today, we have a restaurant and 9 rooms that can accommodate up to 24 guests. Our tours are no longer limited to Crooked Tree, but span all over Belize and Tikal in Guatemala.
Location
Sam Tillett's is located in the center of the small Creole village of Crooked Tree, known for its large mango and cashew trees and its dwelling within the nationally protected Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary. The center of the village is perfect for life-seeing tourism; guests can truly experience the Creole culture.
Amenities
We offer 9 rooms to suit various budgets, all have private bath and original artwork of birds found in the village. The restaurant and bar deck, overlooking the coconut palm trees, is an ideal place to hang out and enjoy listening to the birds sing and watching the iguanas bask in the sun. The waterside is about 2 minutes away from the hotel.
